Nike’s first South African online store is set to go live today, on the 25th of May, and will offer Nike apparel, footwear and more.
Fans of Nike are set to be pleased; one of the world’s most famous brands is set to launch its new online store in South Africa today on the 25th of May, which will offer apparel, footwear, and Nike+ services.
Nike.com is set to bring the company’s range of services to the country, including its NTC (Training Club) and NRC (Run Club), which will offer lifestyle insights from Nike approved running trainers.

Consumers in Johannesburg will be able to reserve a spot on the Run Club, which is set to hold its first event on the 26th of May. Similarly, the Training Club is set to launch on the 28th of May.
Further, the company’s NikeiD service will allow consumers to customise clothing, shoes, and accessories purchased through the company’s new online presence. Specifically, NikeiD allows consumers to specify the colour and configuration of footwear, enabling a choice of options between uppers, midsoles, and details such as the company’s iconic Swoosh logo.
In a press statement, the company announced the release of its new local platform, teasing: “Starting a new training regimen? The latest training tights, tees and tanks will help you reach your goals. Looking for the perfect street to gym look? Check out the latest from Sportswear.”
