Apple announced Friday that Apple Vision Pro users will be able to watch select NBA games from the 2025–26 season in an immersive format.

The initiative will begin with Los Angeles Lakers matches filmed using Apple Immersive video, a high-fidelity format exclusive to the headset. According to Apple, this new viewing experience will allow fans to “feel the intensity of each game as if they were courtside, with perspectives impossible to capture in traditional broadcasts.”
The immersive Lakers games will be filmed using the new URSA Cine Immersive Live camera from Blackmagic Design. A schedule of these matchups will be released later this fall, with the first immersive game streaming in early 2026.
Access to the live immersive games is geographically restricted and will be available through the upcoming Spectrum SportsNet App for fans within the Lakers’ regional broadcast territory: Southern California, Hawaii, and parts of southern Nevada, including Las Vegas.
To experience Apple Immersive video, users must be running visionOS 26 or later. Furthermore, the fine print indicates that a subscription to Spectrum broadband or SportsNet is required to use the SportsNet app.
Beyond the immersive live feed, full game replays and highlights will be available to Vision Pro users in select regions and countries via both the SportsNet and the official NBA apps. Traditional live and replay broadcasts are also available on the headset through the Spectrum TV app (for Spectrum subscribers) and the NBA app (for League Pass holders).
