We have received many leaks about the upcoming dual-screen phone from LG, dubbed the “Wing.” Instead of using foldable displays like we’ve seen from Samsung and Huawei, LG has opted to use dual screen attachments (like on the LG Velvet) to give users that additional functionality. The ‘Wing’ will have the second display on a swivel built into the device.

Initially it was thought that the device would have horizontal extensions, but the leaked video of the device last week cleared that up.
This device will be the first from LG’s Explorer Project. According to the company the project “will include devices that deliver distinctive and yet unexplored usability experiences.” It will sit completely apart from the mainstream ranges like the Velvet or V-series.
The teaser video, also serving as an invite for the reveal of the device, doesn’t actually show off the product. We do know that it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon range, although not which chipset specifically (rumours point towards the 765 or 765G).
The device is expected to have a 4.8-inch primary display with the flip-out display being 4-inches in size. The new smartphone will be launched on September 14th in an online only event.
