The Motorola Razr is one of the few truly eye-turning devices on the market, blending cutting-edge technology in the form of foldable displays with nostalgia-inducing looks and feel. The first foldable from Motorola, while a looker, was a massively flawed device. They aim to fix many of these issues with the upcoming Motorola Razr 2, which we have now learned will be launched on September 9th.

According to Motorola, the next major device in the range will “flip the smartphone experience once again.”
As is the norm, the teaser doesn’t really give us much to go on, but between the GIF and Motorola’s event announcement it is fair to deduce that the Motorola Razr 2 will be unveiled at this event.
We know that the new version of the foldable will be a 5G device, but it will also get some noticeable spec improvements (a major complaint about the original that costs $1,500). Thanks to new leaks, we know that the Motorola Razr 2 will have more RAM, additional internal storage and a higher capacity battery. It will also run the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor – still not the flagship chipset, but a good improvement.
Some issues that need to be addressed with this new version include the average battery life, a dim and low-resolution screen and cameras that are, for the lack of a better word, bad. We’re also not sure if it will launch at a more reasonable price, but that was a major complaint with the original seeing as you don’t get flagship specs.
Whatever the case, we’ll have more information once the device is officially launched on September 9th. It’s interesting that we haven’t seen any hardware leaks, which gets us even more excited.
