A recent report indicates that the Apple Watch sales are not hitting their targets, despite Apple’s heavy marketing campaign.

Success is usually synonymous with Apple’s products, but that may just change with a recent report about the Apple Watch sales. Slice Intelligence, a Palo Alto based research company, has reported that the Apple Watch sales might just have become disastrous.
Using e-receipts from 2.5 million online shoppers in the US, the analytics company Slice Intelligence has tweeted a graph estimating that the number of Apple Watch sales has plummeted to under 5,000 units per day. A stark comparison from the 30,000 to 35,000 units per day the company was pushing in the weeks after its launch.SliceAppleWatch-650-80
Apple (Jeff Williams – Senior VP of Operations) even admitted at the ReCode conference back in May that the Apple Watch was selling “a lot, but not enough.” The Slice Intelligence data compares sales at the time Williams said this to now, which shows Apple was selling around seven times more watches on average than it has in the past month.
Apple has yet to comment on the Watch sales and the Slice statistics is just an estimate. That being said, the numbers seem to back up ast week’s reigned in sales estimate from Wall Street securities analytics firm Pacific Crest.
We will have to wait for Apple’s Q3 results and see exactly what is going on and there exists a chance that Apple might lump the Apple watch sales under “other products”.
