Meta has expanded its hardware portfolio with the reveal of Muse Charm: a compact, always-on handheld device designed to provide direct access to the company’s Muse AI assistant without requiring smart glasses. Introduced by Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg during the Meta Connect keynote, the standalone peripheral serves as an accessible entry point for users seeking continuous interaction with Meta’s conversational AI ecosystem.

Designed as a pocket-sized, always-listening gadget, Muse Charm aims to deliver instant voice interactions with Meta’s AI platform. The device was teased during a live keynote demonstration in which Zuckerberg used Meta’s smart glasses to consult his customized assistant, named Agrippa, about an ongoing hardware project, ultimately revealing Muse Charm as the product in development.
Positioned as a primary touchpoint for users who prefer not to wear smart eyewear, the device focuses entirely on voice-first engagement and rapid ambient assistance, offering a fast, dedicated alternative to phone-based app interactions.
The hardware relies entirely on Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent engineered to manage goal tracking, idea generation, and background task execution across applications. Users can customize the assistant’s persona and vocal traits to tailor daily interactions. Beyond consumer functionality, Zuckerberg indicated that Meta could eventually monetize the assistant platform by taking a small transaction fee on commercial actions and purchases completed through Muse.
Meta plans to ship Muse Charm ahead of the December holiday season. While official pricing and detailed technical specifications were not disclosed during the keynote, the company confirmed that further product details will be released closer to launch.
