While the packaging doesn’t divulge full specifications, it does indicate the card will utilize a substantial 3.5-slot cooler, hinting at the demanding power requirements of this high-end model.

The RTX 5090 is expected to significantly outperform its predecessor, the RTX 4090, boasting nearly double the VRAM (rumoured to be 16GB for the RTX 5080) and an impressive 21,760 CUDA cores. This translates to an estimated 1.8TB/s of memory bandwidth and a power draw of 575W, a substantial increase of 125W over the RTX 4090.

The official unveiling of the RTX 50-series is imminent. Nvidia’s CES 2024 keynote tomorrow is highly anticipated, with the company expected to formally announce the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, and potentially an RTX 5090D model specifically for the Chinese market. Following the announcement, rumours suggest that the RTX 5080 may see a staggered release, potentially debuting on January 21st, with the remaining RTX 50-series cards to follow.
