Nvidia teases its upcoming RTX 50 series graphics cards

It looks like Nvidia might be gearing up to unveil its RTX 50 series GPUs. Nvidia itself is now hinting at the new graphics cards, with a teaser spotted by VideoCardz offering a glimpse of what could be a next-gen GPU design.

The video, promoting Nvidia’s upcoming LAN party, briefly showcases a shadowy PC that will be given away as a prize. When the image is brightened, the GPU inside appears to feature a design that’s unfamiliar. While details remain speculative, VideoCardz suggests it could be an RTX 5080 or 5070 Ti.

Recent leaks lend weight to these suspicions. Reports from Zotac and Acer last month hinted at as many as five upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs, including the flagship RTX 5090, as well as the RTX 5080 and 5070 Ti. Additionally, VideoCardz today highlighted a leak showing an MSI RTX 5080 featuring 16GB of GDDR7 memory, adding credibility to the lineup’s imminent launch.

Nvidia’s marketing doesn’t shy away from fuelling anticipation. The company’s LAN party, running from January 4–6, is dubbed “GeForce LAN 50,” a name that seems to hint at the next-gen series. Furthermore, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to deliver a keynote at CES on January 6 at 9:30 PM ET, an event that could serve as the official stage for the announcement.

With mounting leaks and Nvidia’s teasers, the RTX 50 series reveal feels closer than ever. All eyes are now on CES 2025 to see what Nvidia has in store.
