Tesla is initiating a recall of 200,000 vehicles in the US due to a malfunction in the backup camera, a crucial safety feature that reportedly failed to engage when cars were in reverse. Tesla has processed 81 warranty claims potentially linked to this issue. The affected vehicles, including certain Model Y, Model S, and Model X units from 2023, constitute over 10 percent of the company’s 1.8 million vehicle deliveries in 2023.
