Finally, more info around Zack Snyder’s Justice League!

One of the most anticipated movies this year that we also have high up on our list is without a doubt Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Ever since it was first announced last year, movie fans and geeks alike have been literally scanning the internet (us included) to find out as much about the movie as possible with the official trailer also taking a while to appear. That was the case until now where we now find ourselves with a much clearer picture of what to expect, and boy did the trailer not disappoint:

Even though it’s a typical trailer with a normal short running time, it somehow does a great job of showing off different facets of the movie which we now know will also include scenes from different universes giving each character their fair share of screen time as well as a complete origins story, something that was desperately lacking in Joss Whedon’s 2017 version especially in the case of The Flash and Cyborg.

What we also see is a lot more new footage that’s mixed in with the 2017 version, some of the standouts include Batman’s “Knightmare,” which briefly showcased what would happen if Darkseid were to come out victorious against the Justice League. Summing it all up perfectly is Jared Leto’s Joker making an appearance at the end.

Another aspect that stood out is the oh so dark Darkseid. The sign of any great movie that has heroes and villains in the mix, at least we have always thought, is the villain. In this case, it doesn’t get any bigger than Darkseid who looks even more terrifying than Marvel’s Thanos to be honest. Even though we only saw a glimpse of the character, there’s no doubting that he’s already looking mightily impressive appearing in his realm of Apokolips.

The trailer has created even more anticipation among fans with the release of March 18 (on HBO Max) also looking far away, much more than it really is. We also have no doubt that more information and possibly other trailers will be released in the lead up to that, so we at least have that to look forward to. Zack Snyder’s Justice League also presents more questions than answers but we now at least have an idea of what to expect as compared to before where we found ourselves feeding of scraps and rumors.

This feels like a proper movie event and we for ones can’t wait. With the year we’ve had, there’s no doubt that we all need it. With all that said, is it a bit of a stretch to call Zack Snyder one of the saviors of 2020 and to some extent, 2021? Guess we’ll have to wait and watch the movie first to say for sure.
