The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is around the corner. Samsung has sent out invites for its Unpacked launch event, which will take place on the 5th of August. Other than the new flagship range, we are also expecting the Galaxy Fold 2 at the Unpacked launch event.

The event will be livestreamed on Samsung’s website.
We have no official confirmation of the Note 20 being launched at the event, but it is the usual launch window, albeit a little earlier. The paint droplet in the invitation also has the same bronze colour as was leaked as the new Note 20 colour.
The expectation is that the Note 20 will have a 6.9-inch display, with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. It will have the same 108MP camera we saw on the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The Fold 2 launched at the event will be a lot more affordable than the $2,000 original, as the technology advances sufficiently to bring costs down. It won’t come with any downgrades compared to the original, other than less storage (‘only’ 256GB). We can expect a much more usable, larger external display this time around.
There will also be another foldable launched – the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. It may have slightly different specs than the original which could mean slightly lower prices as well. That being said, the inclusion of 5G does push the manufacturing price up again.
As always, don’t pen in any of these details until we see the devices launched. While smartphone leaks are generally accurate, there is always a chance that Samsung could throw something completely unknown at us come August 5th. The biggest unknown of the launch – how much will the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra cost?
