The Nextbit Robin will be available next week

The world’s first cloud-powered phone, the Nextbit Robin, is set to become available for order through its own online store next week.

We’ve previously covered the Kickstarter campaign behind the Nextbit Robin – the world’s very first cloud-powered phone, and following reaching over three times its backing goal, the device is set to become available next week.
However, Nextbit’s Chief Design Officer Scott Croyle has warned that early supply will be limited to between 3,000 to 6,000 devices.

The Nextbit Robin will only be available through the company’s online store, and will not be sold through any carriers. The company’s Kickstarter goal, which funded the project, accumulated a backing of $500,000 USD – nearly three times over the goal set at the inception of the project.
Previously, Nextbit’s co-founders, Tom Moss and Mike Chan, were both part of Google’s original Android team.
Nexbit has confirmed plans to ship the first batch of the device to early Kickstarter backers on Tuesday, with an online store that will sell the phone opening on Thursday.
