Vaio set to produce a Windows Phone

New rumours indicate that a Vaio Windows Phone could be a reality as the Sony spin-off brand looks to expand into the smartphone arena.

If we ever had to imagine Windows Phone to get an unlikely vote of confidence, this isn’t where we’d imagine it to come from: Thanks to a certain Sony spin-off brand, a Vaio Windows Phone could soon be a reality.
With Microsoft’s Lumia sales slumping to an all-time low while the company’s Surface line buoys the firm from total disaster, Vaio are rumoured to announce a Windows 10 Phone as early as next week.

Vaio was previously sold off by Sony in 2014, and previously used to focus on producing premium computers such as the Z Flip convertible. With the advent in Continuum and Microsoft’s own Surface hybrids and Lumia display dock, it would seem a prudent time for Vaio to create a product which can create a new legacy of premium ultra-portable computer products.
Presently, little details are available regarding a Vaio Windows Phone, and nothing is yet known about availability or pricing.
