In news nobody truly expected, Microsoft is the new crown prince of tablet sales; the company’s newly released Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book have officially beaten Apple’s iPad sales as measured by the top online retailers in the US.
A new report cites that Microsoft overtook Apple in tablet sales in October, after consistently trailing the Cupertino company.
Microsoft’s tablets accounted for nearly 45% of sales in October – more than double when compared to Apple’s 17%.
It is unclear as to whether this trend in tablet sales is set to continue, as in the same month Microsoft announced the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book at its October Event.
What are your thoughts on Microsoft’s victory? Can we expect interest in the company to remain the same as both the Surface Book and Pro become ‘old news’? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
