Many people thought that we had seen the last of Nokia devices when they sold its Lumia business to Microsoft. Luckily that‘s not the case ““ we have already seen the Nokia N1 Android tablet being released last year, and now news comes that they will be re-entering the smartphone game.
What is will look like is unclear, but more importantly, we have no idea what software it will employ. Is the Android market too saturated at this stage? Do you think Nokia can be successful with Android where other large companies (like Sony) have failed?
Nokia launched what it calls the Z launcher for Android last year as well (you can install it on any Android device), so it wouldn‘t be surprising if that is the route they are taking at this stage.
Wouldn‘t you want to see Nokia do something different, though? Perhaps make Symbian a modern OS for the new generation of Nokia devices?
What are your thoughts on Nokia getting back into the smartphone game? What would you like to see them do? Let us know in the comments below.
