Nokia has sarcastic message for Apple

After a long period of waiting, wondering and whispering, Apple finally revealed it‘s new, low cost iPhone yesterday.
The iPhone 5C is Apple‘s answer to a “˜lower cost‘ mobile phone. While the phone is much cheaper in price – it is expected to retail for $99 in the US – it still promises to give you an undeniable Apple experience.
Instead of an aluminum back cover like the top of the range iPhone 5 and 5S, the iPhone 5C has a plastic back cover.
Even though the cover is plastic, it is still eye catching thanks tho the array of different colours it is available in.
Green, blue, pink, yellow and white are the colour option for the new low cost phone. Apple seems to be very impressed with the colourful palette themselves, as they continue to use this as the main selling point of the device.
On their website, Apple calls these colours “œanything-but-shy“ and says that the 5C is “œnot just for lovers of colour“ but for “œthe colourful“.
However, as much as Apple is chuffed with their new colour kaleidoscope, another (recently bought over) mobile phone company couldn‘t  hold back in pointing out the similarities between the 5C and one of their models.
Nokia – once the world‘s leading mobile phone company – has tweeted something rather cheeky in the wake of Apple‘s big reveal.
Nokia UK (@Nokia_UK) tweeted a picture of their Lumia phone range with the caption “œImitation is the best form of flattery“ straight after Apple‘s event ended.
The tweet was also captioned with “œThanks, Apple!“ as a way of saying thank you for their rather absurd “˜compliment‘.
The Nokia Lumia range of phones‘ main feature is also the fact that they are available in multiple colours.
The Lumia was first launched in November 2011 and also used the bright colour palette as a major selling point. The Lumia, as shown in @Nokia_UK‘s tweet, is available in red, green, yellow, blue and orange.
Whether Nokia has a slight case of sour grapes or they genuinely feel flattered by Apple‘s supposed imitation, is something only they‘ll know.
