LG holding event in NYC, hints at Optimus G2 launch

LG has seen some success with its latest Optimus flagships, the Optimus G and thereafter the Optimus G Pro. Now it seems it is time for the evolution of the Optimus range to start, with the Optimus G2 most likely to be revealed by LG in New York on August 7.
This comes as LG started to send out invites to the event to people and organizations around the world. Plenty of people are excited about this latest iteration of the range, as it will include a Snapdragon S800 processor ““ the latest version of the quad core architecture.
The available features of the S800 that LG stressed in an announcement last month give people plenty of reason to look forward to the G2. Besides the raw power of Qualcomm’s newest quad-core beast, other equally impressive features like Ultra HD video recording and playback (that’s four times higher density than 1080p), screen output at resolutions up to 2560 x 2048 pixels (when is enough, enough?), and 1080p HD over Miracast wireless. It’s clear that LG will be billing this as an ultimate entertainment device, and with these specs they probably should.
We are excited to see all the bells and whistles that will inevitably come with LG‘s latest flagship, but since we have to wait almost an entire month, take a look at their promo video:
