SA's Tourism Radio creates pitch video for Google Glass

Cape Town-based travel technology company Tourism Radio is setting its sights on the future of travel.
Having showcased its talents on the Renault R-Link multimedia system, the company has now begun looking to expand its offerings to other technologies, including Google Glass.
Tourism Radio CEO Mark Allewell says, “œHaving recently been awarded the European patent for our location-based audio guide technology, and with a North American patent pending, Tourism Radio is perfectly positioned to adapt for use on Google Glass. Working with Renault on the R-Link, we‘ve shown that we have what it takes to produce a truly world-class product. Creating intelligent audio travel guides that are tailor made for the Google Glass framework would simply be the next evolutionary step for Tourism Radio‘s existing mobile, in-car and web offerings.“
In the hopes of getting a South African company involved in the innovative wearable computing device, Tourism Radio has been hard at work putting together a pitch video showcasing its vision for the search giant.
