I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels really annoyed when typing a long or very carefully thought out comment only to realise that there is a spelling error or similar silly mistake, after I have posted it. The only solution until now, was to delete the comment and start over.
Well, that’s about to change as Facebook begins rolling out the ability for users to edit comments. Finally!
Facebook has said that if users can’t see the new feature immediately, it should begin appearing over the next couple of days. The edit option will now appear in the drop down menu when clicking on the pencil icon on the top right hand corner of the comment. The option to delete the comment entirely will still be available and users will be able to go back and edit comments at any time.
Facebook also mentions that it will enable users to view the entire editing history of a comment so others can get the full context of the conversation.
Look out for the new feature coming in the next couple of days.
