“One man. One desire. One unforgettable adventure…” the slogan might go, and it’d be right.
Alan Wake, from what we can see, is one man running away from a whole lot of nothing. Oh, sure, we saw a shadow figure with an axe offing someone in that recently released gameplay trailer, but come on… with so little to go on we can’t help but assume that Monsieur Wake, hero of this upcoming Xbox exclusive, is only afraid of the dark.
It’s a tactic, of course, to heighten our surprise when we eventually learn what is really stalking this typical white, thirty-something protagonist. But our jaws aren’t quite dropping yet.
