Next up on our office photo features is financial technology company Peresys –
Peresys is a technology solutions provider to the financial markets, specialising in the delivery of FIX (Financial Information Exchange) protocol-enabled applications and services. Peresys‘ purpose of connecting trading communities has seen the company pioneer the introduction and growth of electronic order routing of financial instruments in South Africa and increasingly the rest of Africa.
The head office is situated in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Dimension Data Campus in Bryanston.
Although a blue-coloured brand, Peresys has a semi-green building with automatic lighting throughout their premises.
All boardrooms are hooked up with Mac Mini’s that connect to the company Intranet to share or access files and applications throughout the building. Several rooms are fitted with Polycom video conferencing facilities so staff may easily communicate with international clients and colleagues based in Cape Town.
Following the sports theme of The Campus, Peresys boardrooms are all named after sports stars such as Woods, Federer, Ronaldo, Habana, Rossi, etc.
Within each room, the company has purchased (in aid of charity) authenticated signed merchandise of the various sports stars listed above.
In addition to the double-height ceilings and open plan layout (even the executive directors can be approached by anyone), Peresys shares some of the finer benefits available in The Campus:
The Gym, right next door, is fully stocked with every available training device you can find and also offers spinning, martial arts and palates.
Just steps away is a 9-hole golf course for those who wish to improve their handicap during a lunch break. When you look out of the windows at Peresys you will often see a small game of soccer, cricket or rugby being played on the full pitch just below.
And surprisingly, being in the financial sector, Peresys is a working example of Apple computers being integrated into a MS-environment successfully with many employees sporting Macs.
Lastly, when not in the office, Peresys makes use of Push email & calendars which is delivered directly to employee mobile phones (mostly Blackberry with a few iPhones strutting their stuff)
