One of the most significant upgrades is the improved battery life, which Google says will last up to 40 hours on a single charge. This allows for all-day and all-night use, including sleep tracking. The watch also charges 25% faster than the Pixel Watch 3.
Designed with Google Gemini in mind, the Pixel Watch 4 includes a new speaker and a “raise-to-talk” feature. Google says Gemini can use data from apps across your device to provide more relevant answers to your questions.
The watch also boasts an impressive suite of health features. In addition to a built-in ECG app and irregular heart rhythm notifications, it introduces a new feature that can detect when a heart stops beating and automatically contact emergency services. All health metrics are tracked on an integrated dashboard. For fitness, the watch tracks over 40 exercises, with an AI-based personal fitness coach coming first to Fitbit Premium users.
For the first time, the Pixel Watch is “designed with serviceability in mind,” making it easier to replace the battery and screen. The Pixel Watch 4 will be available in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, with a wide range of accessories. Prices start at $349, and the watch will be available for purchase on October 9.
