Users can now access Grok 3’s “Think” and “DeepSearch” functionalities through X or the standalone Grok app. “Think” is designed for complex queries requiring human-like reasoning, particularly in areas like mathematics, science, and programming. “DeepSearch” functions as a next-generation search engine, capable of generating summaries for research inquiries. To leverage these features, users must select Grok 3 from the chatbot interface’s dropdown menu.

While Grok 3 is temporarily free, X Premium+ subscribers ($40/month) and SuperGrok subscribers ($30/month) receive “increased access” and priority, along with early access to advanced features like Voice Mode.

Grok 3, unveiled during a recent livestream, is touted as “an order of magnitude more capable than Grok 2.” The free version, however, may encounter server limitations during peak usage. Paid subscribers benefit from “Big Brain” mode, which tackles computationally intensive problems, and unlimited image generation.

This limited-time free access to Grok 3 allows a broader audience to experience the advancements in xAI’s LLM technology, while also highlighting the premium features available to paying subscribers.
