The Solix Solar Beach Umbrella integrates high-efficiency perovskite solar cells, promising up to 100W of power output via XT-60 and USB-C connections. This innovative technology, offering significantly higher efficiency than traditional silicon-based cells, particularly in low-light conditions, can potentially power devices indefinitely in sunny environments. While Anker has not disclosed specific details regarding the perovskite cell technology, the company emphasizes its superior performance.
The umbrella itself is a robust and functional piece of equipment. With a 6-foot, 2-inch diameter and a height of over seven feet, it provides ample shade. The IP67 rating ensures durability in challenging weather conditions, including sand and rain. The Solix Solar Beach Umbrella is expected to be available in summer 2025, with pricing yet to be announced.
The EverFrost 2 Electric Cooler introduces air-cooled refrigeration, a significant departure from traditional direct cooling methods. This innovation promises improved temperature uniformity, faster cooling, and eliminates the need for manual defrosting, albeit potentially at the cost of increased noise and energy consumption.
Available in 23L, 40L, and 58L capacities, the EverFrost 2 features rugged construction with six-inch wheels for easy manoeuvrability. The 58L model offers a unique dual-zone feature, allowing for independent temperature control in separate compartments.
The coolers are powered by detachable 288Wh LFP batteries, providing up to 104 hours of cooling on a full charge. These batteries can also be used as portable power banks, offering 60W USB-C and 12W USB-A output for charging various devices.
Pre-orders for the 40L and 58L models will begin on February 21st, with shipments expected to follow shortly thereafter. The 23L model is scheduled for release in Q2 2025.
