To enable voice message transcriptions, users can go to Settings > Chats > Voice message transcripts and toggle the feature on. They can also select their preferred language for transcription. Once enabled, long-pressing on a voice message will bring up the option to transcribe it.
It’s important to note that voice message transcriptions are processed locally on the user’s device, ensuring privacy and security.
In addition to voice message transcriptions, WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta, has also rolled out new features for Messenger. These include the ability to leave audio or video messages for missed calls, AI-powered video call backgrounds, HD video calling, and enhanced noise reduction and voice isolation features.
These recent updates from WhatsApp and Messenger demonstrate Meta’s continued commitment to improving its messaging platforms and enhancing user experience.
