Fortnite is diving into nostalgia with the permanent return of its original island, Fortnite OG. The iconic landmarks like Tilted Towers and the Baller will once again be part of the standard Fortnite experience, starting December 6th.

Epic Games is clearly aiming to replicate the success of Fortnite OG with their current Chapter 2 Remix. This ongoing event reimagines the game’s second chapter with a strong musical focus, featuring artists like Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice. Each week, these artists “remix” the island, introducing unique elements, including some truly bizarre weapons.
Fortnite isn’t alone in its nostalgic endeavours. Both Apex Legends and Overwatch have followed suit with similar events that celebrate their roots, highlighting the growing trend of live service games tapping into nostalgia to engage their player base.
