Once known for its limitations on third-party repairs, Apple is now taking steps to support this initiative. The tech giant has extended its replacement parts and repair kits to the newly launched iPhone 16 series, making it easier for consumers to access parts directly.
According to MacRumors, Apple’s iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max are now included in the models eligible for replacement parts in the US. However, this program currently remains exclusive to the US, meaning South African customers will still need to go through official resellers like iStore for repairs and parts.
For eligible regions, Apple now offers replacement parts for cameras, displays, rear glass covers, bottom speakers, SIM trays, top speakers, and Taptic engines, alongside repair kits available for rent. Here’s a look at the parts pricing for each iPhone 16 model:
