Additionally, Woolworths has introduced Apple kiosks at its Menlyn Park and Sandton City stores, as announced via SMS to customers.
The WConnect section on Woolworths’ website is a relatively new addition. According to the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, it has been active since mid-January 2024, but initially, it did not list any products.
Since then, WConnect has expanded to include brands like Samsung, Huawei, Sony, Nokia, Hisense, Honor, Xiaomi, and Vivo.
“With over 100 Connect counters across the country, you can now shop Woolworths WConnect online,” the retailer states. “Whether you’re a multitasking mogul or capturing your moments in stunning detail, we’ve got the perfect device to match your lifestyle.”
The WConnect webpage offers categories such as wearable technology, cellular accessories, gaming, and laptops and tablets. It also features brand-specific smartphone deals.
Under wearable technology, WConnect offers smartwatches, fitness bands, earbuds, and headphones from brands like Sony, Samsung, Huawei, and Apple.
Gamers can order various consoles online, including the PlayStation 5 Digital and Disc editions, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. However, it currently lists only one gaming accessory — the PlayStation 5 DualSense Glacier White Controller.
In the laptops and tablets category, Woolworths offers the 13-inch MacBook Air and various HP laptops, as well as Samsung and Alcatel tablets.
In an SMS to customers, Woolworths announced discounts for large Apple product purchases at the Menlyn Park and Sandton City Apple kiosks. Customers can get R1,600 off when they purchase Apple products worth R10,000 or more and pay with their Woolies card in a single transaction before June 30.
