This is the new BMW urban electric motorcycle

BMW is expanding its electric motorcycle lineup with the introduction of the CE 02, which is targeted towards a younger demographic. Although it resembles a scooter, BMW prefers to call it an eParkourer, which may be seen as a marketing ploy. The CE 02 boasts a stylish design reminiscent of the Honda Rukus, but with an electric powertrain.

According to BMW, the 11kW version of the CE 02 offers a range of over 55 miles and a top speed of approximately 95 kilometres per hour. Its purpose is primarily geared towards urban transportation. The starting price for the CE 02 is $7,599, excluding destination costs. In comparison, the larger and more powerful CE 04, which offers a longer range, starts at $12,700.

In addition to the CE 02, BMW also showcased Motorrad companion smart glasses that provide information such as speed, speed limits, gear (for gas-powered bikes), and turn-by-turn directions. These glasses are compatible with BMW’s current lineup of bikes that utilize the Motorrad app. The pricing for the smart glasses has not been announced yet.

The CE 02 is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2024, while the smart glasses will be released this summer. For more details, you can watch the video below.
