It’s taken us some time to get here, but it seems that the Apple Watch range will soon benefit from a new ‘Pro’ model that may or may not arrive with a fresh design in tow.
According to Apple insider Mark Gurman, the tentatively-named Apple Watch Pro will allegedly ship with the largest display that Apple has ever shipped on a smartwatch; an estimated 7% larger than the incumbent Series 7 models.
Accordingly, the design will apparently be bereft of any changes to its side bezels and instead will bear what Gurman calls βan evolution of the current rectangular shape.β
In what sounds a little like a Rugged variant, the Apple Watch Pro could apparently be housed in a “more durable” formulation of titanium intended for use in extreme sports.
Given its larger form factor, the device is also imagined to have a bigger battery which could extend its lifespan to several days on a ‘low power mode’.
