Begone, broken post trilogies! Influencers everywhere can rejoice at the news that Instagram is set to test out editable profile grids, which will enable users to highlight different media on their profile as opposed to their most recent uploads showing in chronological order.
According to new findings, the ‘edit grid’ feature would enable users to reorder their posts on their profile to create multi-post collages or highlight media that is important to them.
It remains to be seen whether Instagram will enable its users to appropriate formats differently as opposed to the conventional 3×3 square format that the social media service is famous for.

Notably, the platform has, over time, diversified its Explore and Discover views with a mix of content that not only includes highlight sections for images or video, but can further include Stories as well.
Instagram hasn’t publicly revealed whether it actually intends to release the feature to the general public as yet, or whether the format might only be available to shops or business profiles.
