Apple’s Watch Series 7 may usher in design changes with flat sides, bigger screens

Though the Apple Watch’s design hasn’t changed much at all since its initial outing, the Cupertino company may be readying new changes that could see the first real design evolution of its popular smartwatch.

According to Power On, the Apple Watch Series 7 will be set to grow up with a ‘flatter display and edges’, marking a continuing trend amongst Apple products where curves appear to be getting – well – less curvy.

Further, the Series 7 will be set to expand by 1mm – shipping both 41mm and 45mm models – with multiple new watch faces in tow to leverage that new real estate.

Power On asserts that though the Series 7 may have a newer or at least faster processor, the device won’t feature any substantial health-focused upgrades.

It remains to be seen whether the company would announce the Series 7 Apple Watch this year, or whether the design could be rolled out in 2022.
