Microsoft Surface Book 3 touches down in Mzansi

Microsoft has today announced the availability of its Surface Book 3 which forms part of an entire Surface series. The company has over the years made enormous strides, this is especially under the forward looking leadership of Satya Nardella who has brought new life to the company in every sense of the word.

With the Surface Book 3 (positioned at both commercial and consumer customers) Microsoft is effectively expanding its Surface device offering on our shores. It is available to purchase in retail from Incredible Connection stores.

The Surface Book 3 is described as a robust laptop, powerful tablet with detachable touchscreen, and a portable studio that adapts to all the ways users work and create best. The device combines speed, graphics, immersive gaming and long battery life1 with the versatility of a laptop, tablet, and portable studio. It effectively brings many elements into one.

“We are excited to expand our Surface family with the addition of Surface Book 3 – our most powerful laptop yet. In terms of the insides, the Surface Book 3 features quad-core powered 10th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, blazing NVIDIA® graphics, a beautifully crisp, high-resolution PixelSense™ Display, a smooth, precise trackpad and a comfortable keyboard. It is set to be available in 13 or 15-inch sizes.

“For developers that push the computing and IO performance of their device, Surface Book 3 comes with up to 32GB of RAM and various solid-state drive (SSD) options,” says Reddy.

For those who love their gaming, both the 13.5” and 15”, i7 versions easily cater for your needs with dedicated NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX™. You have the choice of between the NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design w/4GB GDDR5 graphics memory in the 13.5” or Surface Book 3 15-inch that has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX™1660 Ti with Max-Q Design w/6GB GDDR6 GPU with enough power to play the top Xbox Game Pass3 for PC titles at 1080p in a smooth 60 frames per second or perform high end video editing. The NVIDIA Quadro RTX™ 30004 option meets the needs of commercial customers and higher education institutions.

The recommended retail pricing for the Surface Book 3 starts at R37,999 which isn’t exactly cheap but at the very least you’ll be safe in the knowledge that you are getting your money’s worth.
