The upcoming flagship tablets from Samsung will aim to evolve and improve from the Galaxy Tab S6. The design changes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ might seem minor, but it has the more modern flat sides we are expecting from the iPhone 12 as well.
The renders of the Galaxy Tab S7+ come from prolific leakers Pigtou and @OnLeaks, showing off a tablet that looks somewhat like a blend between a Samsung smartphone and an iPad Pro. The renders are based off of leaked dimensions, design documents and manufacture details.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ will reportedly have 12.4-inch display, pretty much in line with its main competition, that iPad Pro. It will presumably still be one of Samsung’s superb AMOLED displays. It isn’t clear why they still aren’t opting to put the front-facing camera in a punch hole within the display in order to shrink the bezels even further. This would also make the tablet less cumbersome while maintaining the screen real estate.
This tablet has two cameras on the back – details of which are scarce – with s third cut-out that could perhaps be for a depth-sensor. This will assist it in rumoured augmented reality (AR) capabilities, so it could also be some sort of LIDAR setup.
The differentiator with the Samsung tablet is the addition of an S-Pen, which will enjoy fully supported pressure and proximity sensing here. The front-facing camera has been moved to the side of the tablet, so that it is in the middle when using it in landscape mode. People tend to use the tablet in this mode more often, and especially when making video calls – the main use case for this camera (please don’t take selfies with your tablet).
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ will also come with a large 9,800mAh battery.
