Razer has officially launched its Razer Phone – a smartphone built off the Nextbit Robin and featuring a 120Hz display and 8GB of RAM.
While juggernauts such as Samsung have increasingly weighed into the mobile gaming space, the sphere (arguably) has yet to find a true champion – though that seems to have changed today as gaming device and peripheral marque Razer has officially released the Razer Phone.
Built on the bones of the Nextbit Robin – and sharing its design DNA – the Razer Phone arrives with several interesting promises in tow.

Let’s start at the top – the Razer Phone arrives in a metal body with a 5.7″ 16:9 display, and while there’s no bezel-busting chops to be found here, the device does cram in a tantalizing new offering in the form of a 120Hz Ultramotion display.
The Razer Phone’s display leverages a 1440p LCD panel, and promises an ultra-fluid response similar to the screens found on Apple’s 10.5″ and 12.9″ iPad Pro models.
Under the hood, the device packs in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage – alongside a massive 4,000mAh battery.
The handset carries a USB-C charging port with Qualcomm QuickCharge smarts, and includes a dual-camera array comprised by a 12-megapixel standard unit and a 13-megapixel telephoto snapper. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The Razer Phone will debut with Android 7.1.2 Nougat with an Android 8.0 Oreo update in the pipeline, and ships with a custom version of Nova Launcher Prime.
The handset is expected to become available on November 17th, and will ship for $699 USD.
