According to new leaks, the forthcoming OnePlus 5 could sport not only four cameras, but a curved design as well as a powerful slew of specs.
Four cameras might sound like a zany proposition, but then again there actually is a smartphone on the market with such a setup in the form of the Alcatel Flash. Now, according to new leaks, the forthcoming OnePlus 5 could follow in similar fashion with a curved body and a powerful set of specs in tow.
According to a series of leaked factory worker illustrations, OnePlus’ next flagship carries with it the curved design language LG pioneered around the time of the LG G4. Images thus far have shown that the OnePlus 5 might benefit from a concave rear panel and a ceramic header piece similar in form to the Google Pixel.

On the rear is, of course, a dual-camera array with two LED flash modules with a presently unknown composition (OnePlus might choose to go the way of Apple with a telephoto and wide-angle lens, or a Huawei-style colour and monochrome shooter combo) while on the front are two dual cameras for superior selfies.
Rumours thus far have illustrated that the device will arrive on the market sporting Android 7.1.1 Nougat alongside OnePlus’ Oxygen OS. A Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6 or 8GB of RAM, a 3,580mAh battery and USB Type-C support are also reported to debut on the handset.
It remains to be seen whether the device – once it is released – will reach our shores, though the fact that the OnePlus 3 can be picked up through Takealot gives us some hope for the future. Read: Do these dummy iPhone 8 images reveal Apple’s new handset in earnest?
