A new leak has apparently revealed the internal specifications of Samsung’s forthcoming flagship, the Galaxy S8, promising pound-for-pound power.
While we’ve certainly been able to get to grips with the Samsung Galaxy S8’s ambitious design ahead of its launch later this week, we’ve heard comparatively little on the subject of its internal specifications.
Now, a new leak courtesy of SamMobile has seemingly outed what the handset will bring to bear; the first revelation of which is that the handset will feature a 5.8″ display with a 2860×1440 resolution.

Underneath is, of course, the premier outing of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset, which users in the US will enjoy. European models will instead benefit from Samsung’s self-made Exynos 8895 chipset.
In terms of RAM, users can reportedly expect to benefit from 4GB, while the device will apparently feature 64GB of internal storage with MicroSD support up to 256GB.
While the Galaxy S8 might not benefit from the dual-camera technology found on other flagships, the handset will get a 12-megapixel primary camera with a f/1.7 aperture. That snapper will further feature laser autofocus, and will be accompanied by a front-facing 8-megapixel selfie camera.
A sizeable 3,000mAh battery will keep the handset going, while the device will arrive with Android 7.0 Nougat, the new Samsung Experience software skin, and, of course, Bixby – the company’s new intelligent assistant.
The Galaxy S8 will reportedly feature an IP68 certification, guaranteeing dust and water resistance, and will support USB Type-C in addition to a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will be made available to consumers in Black, Orchid Grey, Silver, Gold, and Blue.
