Get ready for some mid-evil parkour, wrist-blades and hooded figures! Michael Fassbender brings Assassin’s Creed to the silver screen.
The film adaptations of famous video games has been a hit or miss affair over the past couple of years. Sure there has been some successes – Tron wasn’t too bad and some of the Resident Evil movies still hold up quite well. You also have the disaster that is Doom and in this line-up. So it was with great excitement and a certain level of trepidation that we bring you the first official trailer of Assassin’s Creed.

The hugely popular video game franchise is set to grace our big screens in December this year with Michael Fassbender (aka young Magneto from X-Men) playing the leading role. The movie doesn’t appear to take too heavily from any of the games in particular, but it’s very much in line with the series’ usual tropes “” the plot sees Marion Cotillard sending Fassbender back to the Spanish Inquisition and alter the genetic memories left by an assassin ancestor. Or something. All we know is that there are wrist-blades, climbing and a lot of jumping involved!
