Fossil unveils the Q Marshal and Q Wander smartwatches

Fossil has unveiled two new luxury smartwatches, named the Q Marshal and Q Wander that will supplement the Q Founder in its new smartwatch family

In October last year Fossil joined the Android Wear fray with the release of its Q Founder Smartwatch, and now the luxury jeweller is back with the release of two new devices, the Q Marshal and Q Wander.
The Q Marshal (left) and Q Wander (right) arrive in a smaller form factor than the Q Founder, and will sport Android Wear just as the Founder does.

Presently, it is unclear as to which sizes each device will come in, with some reports positing that both new models with be available in 44mm or 46mm form factors, while others claim that the Q Wander will be sized at 44mm while the Q Marshal will size up to be 46mm.
Both smartwatches fill the same value proposition as the Founder -offering a circular Always-On display – but this time around incorporate a smaller charging adaptor.
The Q Marshal and Q Wander are set to arrive later this year, and will initially sell for $275 USD – the same price the Q Founder was first positioned at.
Both smartwatches form part of Fossil’s growing connected devices family, which expended to include fitness trackers and notification watches in addition to full-blown Android Wear contenders.
The move has seen Fossil – following its acquisition of Misfit last year – quickly expand into the wearables market. The brand’s Android Wear smartwatches pose the most acute challenge to the Tag Heuer Connected Watch, which was also released to the public last year.
