LG Stylus 2 set to launch in Korea

The successor to the LG G4 Stylus is set to be released in Korea, as the smartphone company have announced the LG Stylus 2 launch at home this weekend.

The successor to LG’s G4 Stylus is about to hit the shores of Korea. With the LG Stylus 2 launch set for the country this weekend, the company’s updated phablet – which drops the flagship G moniker – will be available for purchase.
We first heard rumours of the LG Stylus 2 before its announcement at MWC, and what we expected is largely what we’ve gotten; the Stylus 2 is a successor to the G4 Stylus that gains little and sheds even less.

The Stylus 2 arrives with a 5.7″ HD display, a presently undetermined 1.2Ghz processor, a  3,000mAh battery, and 16GBs of expandable storage.
The Stylus 2 is complemented by a 13MP and 8MP camera split – the latter of which is up from the G4 Stylus’ 5MP selfie shooter.
The Stylus 2 is moderately lighter than its predecessor at 145 grams, whereas the G4 Stylus weighed in at 165 grams.

The phablet, which now sports a metal frame, is set for a quiet launch in LG’s back yard, and is expected to retail for approximately $330 USD.
Whether the G4 Stylus will arrive on South African shores remains to be seen, but considering its predecessor’s presence and the imminent arrival of the flagship G5, we can likely expect LG’s new phablet within the coming months, and we’ll be sure to continue coverage.
