The rumored Apple March event might see the Cupertino company announcing the iPhone 5SE, the new iPad Air 3 and new watchbands for the Apple Watch…
Apple’s lesser known March event wants to amp things up to match the yearly anticipation of the September event. Next month we might just see a new iPhone, new iPad and Apple Watch bands (products usually reserved for the September event).
A source speaking to both BuzzFeed and 9to5Mac claimed that Apple has finally settled on Tuesday, March 15 for its smaller launch event before it’s bigger iPhone 7 launch event later this year in September. Of course this isn’t the first time these rumors have surfaced, all of them pointing to a mid-March event. When Apple finally officially announces the event (which we are fairly sure they will), it will be the second annual March event. Last year’s event focused on smaller products and peripherals, leaving the big flagship iPhone announcement for September.
We will however probably see an iPhone launched next month, in the form of the iPhone 5SE, the 4-inch replacement model of the iPhone 5S (which is still available). Rumors also suggest that Apple will announce the new iPad Air 3 – the first upgrade to the 9.7-inch Air since 2014 and could sport some features we saw in the iPad Pro. Last but not least Apple might introduce new watchbands for the Apple Watch (including an entirely new line using a high-quality “NATO-style” nylon bands), lets just hope they work on the price!
