The world’s largest social network has officially unveiled Facebook Sports Stadium – a new online platform dedicated to sporting events and communities.
Facebook Sports Stadium has been officially launched today, and is now a dedicated area of the world’s largest social network dedicated to sporting teams, events, supporters and communities.
Facebook Sports Stadium aims to offers site users a gestalt platform through which to engage with sporting events in real time.

Users will be able to track sporting content in chronological order, and be able to see posts from their friends, comments on plays, expert commentary, life scores, states, and game info.
Facebook have opted to launch the platform specifically for American football, with support for other sports such as basketball, soccer and more expected to come soon.
Facebook Sports Stadium is now available on iPhone in the US and will expand to other platforms soon.
