A large Telkom network outage has prohibited thousands of users from accessing the internet in Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Internet subscribers across the country today might become victims of a large Telkom network outage which started yesterday.
Users, who are unable to access Telkom’s internet portal and Telkomsa.net email addresses, began reporting the error at approximately 2 o’ clock on Wednesday the 20th of January.

Telkom has since confirmed on Twitter to its consumers that it was experiencing a network outage, and that its technicians were attending to the problem. The company further confirmed that its points of presence in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban were up.
Some users in the Northern regions of the company, however, have continued to experience intermittent connections.
