Apple's next big move – buying Time Warner?

A major investment into becoming a large media player seems the way to go for Apple and recent reports suggest that they could hit the ground running with an attempt to buy part or all of Time Warner

With the obscene amount of devices Apple sell each year as well as older models still in circulation, there a literally hundreds of millions of people out there able to get their daily series/movie fix on an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV. So it comes as no real surprise that there are serious rumblings around Apple getting into the content market.
Whilst Apple‘s already got deals with plenty of these firms to sell their content through the likes of iTunes, its negotiations haven‘t been smooth across the board, like with the troubles we heard the company faced when trying to work out streaming rights for Apple TV. A major investment into becoming a major media player seems the way to go and recent reports suggest that Apple could hit the ground running with an attempt to buy part or all of Time Warner.
Of course nothing has officially been said yet, but rumors suggest that Apple looks to snap up available holdings in the company that owns big names like HBO, CNN and CW. Time Warner’s share prices haven’t been performing for quite some time, seeing them losing some major investments. Apple might also face some competition form AT&T and Fox as they aim to expand on their own media holdings. Even though Apple’s possible acquisition might still be just a rumor, we have to admit it makes a lot of sense.
