The Fitbit Blaze is its smartest, most stylish, most motivating fitness tracker yet

When it comes to fitness trackers, there are likely only a couple of manufacturers that immediately jump to mind. Fitbit is one of them, for sure, and they are the bestselling fitness wearables in the world. The second is surely Jawbone. They have always been relatively simply wearables, though, solely focused on making your fitness monitoring easier and more exciting. That all changes today.
The company has announced the Fitbit Blaze, its “œsmartest, most stylish, most motivating fitness tracker yet“. The fitness tracker easily pops in and out of interchangeable bands, which come in a variety of flavours. Your Blaze will have the choice of genuine leather, stainless steel and high-performance elastomer.
It will come with all the smart functionalities you expect from Fitbit, such as SmartTrack for automatic exercise recognition, in addition to FitStar by Fitbit on-screen workouts, Connected GPS, and PurePulse heart rate tracking. Unfortunately, the Blaze does not include a GPS like its very popular Surge wearable. You do, however, get a colour display.

The new wearable will retail for $200 globally from March and is compatible with Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices. The bands will vary wildly, from $30 up to $130.
This is very different to some of our favourite fitness wearables, like the Withings Activite Pop, but we still find it extremely interesting. Would you be interested in a better looking Fitbit?
