The alarm-bug has struck again! Apple software updates are quite notorious for a particular bug that has repeatedly affected customers over the last few years. Over the weekend many iOS users updated to 9.1 to once again wake up late the next morning due to the iOS update disabling all of your set alarms. I also slept in late on Sunday due to this bug, but many others may have missed something important.
Users have recently bombarded twitter with complaints about iOS 9.1 and how it handled alarms over the weekend, and even over the last few days. It seems that the only way to avoid having issues is to actually make sure you activate the alarms manually, and not rely on their previous state from the night before. Seriously Apple, this is a small bug that can really affect peoples lives. It isn’t a one time thing either – get it right.
