The iPhone 6S has arrived in SA and is selling like hotcakes around the world. Even though most analysts didn’t have high hopes for the 6S, sales so far seem to continue their record-breaking trend for Apple (thanks to their well oiled marketing machine). To move away from their failed projections analysts often do the following – discuss the next model! Yup they are already sharing their predictions ond what we can expect with the iPhone 7.
Analyst Piper Jaffray’s Gene Muster is quite famous for his predictions on everything on the Apple technology horizon. He also has insider connections that have lead to accurate hardware insight on what to expect from Apple‘s next devices. The latest bag of predictions indicates that Apple’s iPhone 7 design will be the device‘s major selling point. It seems that Apple is considering doing away with the home button, as we‘ve heard in some interesting rumors. This would allow Cupertino to do away with the top and bottom bezels and give users a smaller iPhone at the same screen size, or a larger display over the same hardware footprint.
This will of course inhibit Apple’s “TouchID” but there has been a few technologies floating around that could help Apple out. Another ever present rumor is that Apple will consider a full Sapphire glass front this time round, but don’t take this one seriously yet (with issues around screen brightness). The last prediction indicates that Apple‘s A10 chip will focus mainly on improving battery life, something which Apple has succeeded in with its MacBook lineup, but has failed with iPhones.
The iPhone 7 rumor-mill is certainly up and running, stay tuned for the latest rumors and insights.
