ZTE has already released a couple of interesting smartwatches, but none as stylish as the new Axon Watch, which takes on Android Wear devices.
Chinese manufacturers are coming to the fore in the smartphone market and pushing hard to do the same with smartwatches. ZTE has already released a couple of interesting smartwatches, but none as stylish is this one.
The company has taken the wraps off of the Axon Watch, a smartwatch that’s miles above their BlueWatch in both design and features. It looks like a conventional watch and tries to entice with its minimalistic design and contemporary style.
It is running a wearable version of Tencent OS with features like gesture control as well as basics like phone calls, messaging and fitness tracking. So while it doesn‘t run Android Wear, the more interesting aspect is its hardware.
While the 1.4-inch sapphire-coated display and Bluetooth 4.1 are noteworthy, you’re otherwise looking at a very pedestrian 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage and a 300mAh battery which is in line with what we see on other smartwatches. Then again, the main selling point of this device is the design and nothing else. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
