Last year‘s Sony SmartWatch 3 didn‘t really make any kind of a splash, and the majority of consumers said that is because of the rubbery design. Now, Sony try to rectify that with the SmartWatch 3 in metal trim.
In actual fact, there isn‘t anything new here. The internals are identical to the original that launched last year. It has the same 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, a 1.6-inch, 320 x 320 transflective (which means it is easier to see in direct sunlight) LCD display and built-in GPS to help track your running. It has 4GB of storage and 512MB of RAM, and it runs Android Wear.
The big difference is in the steel finish, in the band and in the casing. If you are a fan of the cosmetic side of tech, this should be right up your alley. As with the original release, the watch itself can be popped out of the band and put in other Sony SmartWatch 3 holders.
