We heard some time ago that Audi is bringing LTE in their cars to the US before rolling out to other markets. One large question loomed, however ““ what will it cost?
Contracts will come from AT&T and a six-month plan with 5GB of data will run $99, while a 30-month plan with 30GB runs $499. There is a launch special however, as Audi and AT&T is offering this service free for an entire year if the customer buys the brand new A3 sedan with Audi Connect.
Audi is hoping to make Audi Connect standard across the range very soon, which can also create in a WiFi hotspot within the car for occupants. They are also hoping to have in-car LTE in all their models before the end of 2014.
